Festivals are a joyous celebration of life, although no particular religious doctrine is taught, a sense of reverence and respect for nature and our fellow human beings is encouraged not only throughout the curriculum, but also in the recognition of seasonal rhythms and the Christian festivals which accompany them.

This Christmas gathering is to bring us all together before the year ends and also to say our ‘goodbyes’ to Katie, Oliver, Leo and Lucinda Alini, they are making their way home to New Zealand in mid December and we would like to bid them farewell and wish them all the very best for their journey ahead.
We will have fun with the children, share our lunch together, have a
Christmas Story for the children then off home.
I look forward to us all sharing this special time together and
strengthening our resolve to bring Sophia Waldorf School a little
Warm regards, Nansi.
The gift of the light we shall thankfully take
But it shall not be alone for our sake,
The more we give light, the one to the other
It grows and gives light, and shines even farther
Until every heart, by love set aflame
In every place great joy shall proclaim:
Not long shall continue the darkness of year
The light draws near.
